You could also read the Neal penalty as "the rest of the playoffs". Technically. |

I've made my full comments in my HB blog ("A puzzlement in Pittsburgh: Follow Up"), but my main question here is when is the last time that a team has had 25% of its starting forwards suspended for their actions in just on game -- and deservedly so? In my 45 years in hockey I've never seen that before. |

Don't agree. Think neal should have gotten a couple more. But would it be insane to only hand out suspensions when a player gets hurt? and the suspension is however long the injured player is out for? Maybe not thinking that all the way through but it seems fair. |

Neal should of got more. Plain and simple. But they don't want to suspend their stars. Nobody cares about the Adams' and Ashams of the NHL.
Joke. |

Raffi Torres is a douche.
He'll probably only get fined.
That said, can we get some sort of consistency with these suspensions? |

As long as Torres only gets 1 game...
Neal got nothing - no fine or games - for leaping into Coots. You know, the kind of stuff the NHL is trying to ward against. Odd. |

this game is a joke. Watch this video of the Rinaldo 2 game suspension for leaving his feet http://video.nhl.com/vide...onsole?catid=60&id=157353
Then watch the Neal video
http://video.nhl.com/vide...onsole?catid=60&id=172993
Shanny says the Rinaldo hit was clean if he didn't jump, but he had a prior incident, so he was suspending him 2 games.
Neal jumps, hits a player that doesn't have the puck in the head and then crosschecks another player in the head and only gets one game, because he jumped to protect himself.
I would be curious what the call would be if it was hartnell targeting Crysby. |

Shanny will be in boiling hot water tomorrow. He either lets Torres off the hook too or he suspends him for the exact same thing Neal did and got away with. |

This all goes back to the GM's. They have not gotten the memo that injury should not be a factor in the suspension. that is the directive they have given Shanny so I can't blame him for that. Start adding up the suspension at the end of the year and strip some draft picks. That will slow this down. |

Uh, what? You know it's already been decided right?
He got nothing, no game, no fine for hitting Couturier and got a game for running Giroux. |
